We strive to be a warm, friendly, and encouraging Church where people of all ages and walks of life feel welcome. We are a Church that studies together, prays together, worships together, and grows together. We are always open and welcoming to whomever the Lord leads our way.
Lighthouse Baptist Church seeks to operate according to the instructions and examples of the Bible, and as such is not part of any official denominational organization or religious hierarchy. Our Church is independent, self-supporting, and self-governing – just as the Churches of the New Testament were.
We are a Baptist Church because our beliefs and practices align with the historic heritage of Bible believing Baptists and Christians from the time of the New Testament on.
Our Purpose statement as a Church is to…
Exalt the Lord Jesus Christ
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. – Psalm 107:31-32
Evangelize our community through outreach and the world through missions
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. – Matthew 28:19-20
Encourage Christians in their walk with God
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. – Hebrews 10:24-25
Edify Christians for spiritual Growth
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. – Ephesians 4:15-16
Equip Christians in their service of the Lord
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. – 2 Timothy 3:16-17
