A Place of Truth

We believe the Bible is God’s Word (2 Tim 3:16), and that God’s Word is truth (John 17:17). At Lighthouse you will hear the truth of God’s Word clearly, compassionately, and uncompromisingly preached and taught (2 Tim 4:2). We make it a priority for our music to be filled with the truths of God’s Word. We sing classic hymns along with some modern hymns and worship songs that are Biblically rich and doctrinally sound.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, – 2 Timothy 3:16

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. – John 17:17

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort will all longsuffering and teaching. – 2 Timothy 4:2

A Place of Love

While we are committed to speaking the truth at Lighthouse, we are equally committed to doing so in love (Eph 4:15).

You will not find a high pressure, or manipulative environment at Lighthouse. We believe that God blesses when His Word is spoken truthfully and lovingly, and we trust the Holy Spirit to work in people’s hearts. He is the only One that can truly transform hearts and minds (1 Cor 2:4-5).

It is our prayer that you will be warmly welcomed and that you will find us to be people that genuinely (yet imperfectly) love one another with the love of Jesus Christ (John 13:34-35).

but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head, Christ – Ephesians 4:15

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. – 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35

A Place of Growth

Ephesians 4:15 teaches that the truth spoken in love will result in growth in Christ-likeness. One of God’s great purposes for His children is to make them to be like Jesus Christ (Rom 8:29).

We endeavor that Lighthouse will be a place where you can grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Pet 3:18). Everyone is at a different place in their spiritual journey and none of us at Lighthouse have “arrived” or are perfect. We won’t expect you to be perfect either! You will be welcomed as you are, and will be challenged by God’s Word to let the Lord transform you and make you more like Jesus! So, come grow with us!

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. – Romans 8:29

but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. – 2 Peter 3:18
